RADIO TRAFFIC ACCOUNTING AUTHORITIES
All owners of Cyprus Ships are required to appoint Accounting Authorities, approved by the Government of Cyprus for the clearance of their accounts with the Telecommunication Authorities of different countries, which serve them. A copy of the signed contract must be submitted to the Registrar of Ships.
Copies of the renewals of such contracts must subsequently also be submitted.
In case of transfer of ownership a confirmation by the Accounting Authority that a new contract has been signed must be sent. A copy of contract must be submitted thereafter within six months. Pleasure yachts using only VHF apparatus are excluded from the requirement of appointing an Accounting Authority.
